SEO Specialist (Part-Time) - Spring Semester

About Us

CDD Services is a fast-growing web design, SEO, and digital marketing company based in Maryland. We work with local businesses to improve their online presence through modern web design, branding, and tailored SEO strategies. We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated SEO Specialist to join our team part-time for the Spring semester.

This role is perfect for a student looking to build real-world experience in SEO, analytics, content optimization, and digital marketing.

Position Overview

As an SEO Specialist, you will support our web development and marketing team by helping analyze websites, optimize search performance, research keywords, and contribute to content strategy. You’ll gain hands-on experience improving real client websites and learn the end-to-end SEO workflow used in professional agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis
  • Perform on-page SEO optimizations (titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, alt text, etc.)
  • Analyze site performance through Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other tools
  • Assist in developing SEO-focused content strategies for clients
  • Audit websites for technical SEO issues and prepare actionable reports
  • Collaborate with the web design team on page structure, UX, and content layout
  • Review existing pages and recommend optimizations to improve ranking
  • Help write SEO-optimized blogs, articles, or technical content
  • Assist with local SEO, including Google Business Profile optimization
 

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree during the Spring 2026 semester at University of Maryland Baltimore County
  • Foundational understanding of SEO principles (keyword research, rankings, crawling, indexing)
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and meet weekly task expectations
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking skills
 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing blogs, technical articles, or marketing content
  • Understanding of basic UI/UX principles
  • Familiarity with on-page and off-page SEO strategies
  • Prior experience improving SEO for personal or client projects

Important Note

This internship is funded through the UMBC Career Center’s Shattuck Program. All compensation for the role is provided through the program during the spring semester.
